A Victorian mansion within 1km of Bath Spa town centre, the Wentworth is perfectly placed for a peaceful stay in Bath. Located to the South of Bath just off of the A367 Wells Way.

This is the perfect selection if you are looking to stay a short 15 minutes walk from the city centre. It is a refreshing area of the city just that little bit away from all the hustle and bustle. This is a good value for money place to stay. Compact rooms with basic amenities allow us to charge you low prices.

With nearly an acre of gardens surrounding the house, you will be able to relax and take a quiet drink if you so choose on one of our garden terraces. The heated swimming pool outdoors is a refreshing bit of exercise should you wish to partake. We now have available for you a relaxing garden hot tub (available at small extra charge). Here you can sit and enjoy the views of the surrounding countryside all the year round in comfort that you just wont get anywhere else.

Good stuff: breakfast good and service ok

Bad stuff: semi basement room , dull and dingy,

Good stuff: Convenient for where we were going, clean and comfortable room, easy parking, food quality good (breakfast).

Bad stuff: Seemed a bit understaffed - service slow at breakfast, room not made up till the evening. A few small things broken or not working around the room.

Overall: Comfortable and convenient, but overpriced for the standard of accommodation and service.

Good stuff: Staff were friendly, and accommodating (for the most part). Hotel was well located for a short walk into the city centre

Bad stuff: Shower did not work due to an over-loaded water system (ie other guests showering at the same time), although management did apologise with regard to this (no compensation was offered). The quality of the breakfast on offer was below average and breakfast items were cleared away before they were finished with.

Overall: The hotel had more character than many we've stayed in, and was well located. The room was adequate, but due to a non-functioning shower, was not what was paid for. Overall, I do not feel the hotel offered good value for money.

Overall: Nice comfortable place with very pleasant staff.

Good stuff: Nice surroundings. Pretty good breakfast.

Bad stuff: Heaeting in room not working. Given plug in heater but that did not work eiher. Pool not open - part of reason for booking was to use. Closer to guest house than hotel.

Overall: The swimming pool was not open. Dissapointing as clearly a key selling point. Also juccuzi had to be paid for which was not made clear online. Room very small. Heating not working in room which made it uncomfortable. We were offered a plug in heater but that also did not work. Some postivie points though: staff friendly, breakfast good, lovely location on hill, plenty of parking.

Good stuff: Our Room was Clean

Bad stuff: TV was poor, shower door was broken, manager did not smell good. Wine was poor. Could hear the people in the next room!

Good stuff: A clean & quiet hotel with free car parking

Bad stuff: Room tended to be a bit chilly at night,but this was december.

Overall: A good hotel.full english breakfast was great but evening meal a bit overpriced.The Bear pub down the road does a two for one meal deal

Overall: This was a last minute booking but we were very happy with the accomodation. We didn't use the pool or the hot tub so can't comment on these other than to say they were open and looked inviting! The walk into Bath was 15 mins down a steep hill but the hotel is also on a bus route.

Good stuff: close to the town without it being on the door step. room was a good size and clean and comfortable.

Overall: the hotel offered everything we needed. i do think it was a little over p[riced but otherwise we had a great stay. the staff were friendly and helpfull.

Good stuff: Away from town centra, friendly and clean great view out back

Bad stuff: Need larger bath towels

Overall: The car parking was ok but got crowded by the weekend,and although stated 15mins from town centre did not specify you had to be a mountain climber to get back. Otherwise will come again most likely this time next year for the Jayne Austen Festival

Bad stuff: Sagging matress on the bed, blanket with holes in, broken soap dispenser in the shower.

Overall: Location good if you don't mind a walk, or handy bus if not. Very friendly and helpful staff, good food. Garden/pool/hot tub good, relaxing area to sit for a drink. Local information easily accessible and comprehensive. Good directions.
