Radstock is a market town with a very good shopping centre just a short walk away - Radco - be sure to visit for a treat or two. The town dates back to Roman times and has some fine Victorian buildings along the high streets. Twinned with the French town of Ambares-et-Lagrave - during August there is a cosmopolitan feel as the exchange families from France meander the town.

Just a 10 minute drive to Frome where you can attend the Merlin Theatre, 10 minute drive to Farrington Golf Centre and close to many pretty Somerset villages.

Its well worth taking a trip in to nearby Bath where you can enjoy a wealth of fabulous shopping, tea rooms, restaurants and excellent entertainment - festivals, art galleries, museums, antique fairs, cinema and clubbing. Take a ghost walk, Comedy walk and enjoy the panoramic views across the city from the top of Camden Crescent.

Spend a lazy afternoon in the Royal Victoria Park in the height of summer and indulge in a peaceful picnic under the shady trees with family and friends.

Good stuff: lounge and bar area excellent - food excellent. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Beds and bathroom good.

Bad stuff: Decor badly needs upgrading and paintwork badly needs re-done.
