Classical Georgian architecture greets you as you walk up the street to our establishment. You will also notice St Johns Church and its splendid Gothic architecture, which is literally across the road from us.

With an AA rating of 3 stars you can be assured that any one of our 46 rooms you book will be comfortable and tastefully decorated with en-suite. Our restaurant will be happy to serve you some delicious and varied foods from our a la carte menu and others including vegetarian options. A pleasant and varied wine list can also be a part of your dining experience with us. Your romantic meal or family get together will be one to remember with us.

Good stuff: staff were friendly and excellent.the breakfast each day was excellent. the public rooms were comfortable as was the restaurant.

Bad stuff: we had aroom on the third floor, there was a damp odour in the room which deminished when the window was left wide open.the shower was lethal it was impossible to control the tempature which resulted in it being too hot.

Overall: acceptable.

Good stuff: Telephone in the room could not used. But I could kindly use the phone on the reception desk.

Bad stuff: The passage is a bit rough. The senior person is not easy to walk with one's heavy bagagge.

Overall: I enjoyed staying here very much.

Good stuff: good sized room comfortable bed

Bad stuff: Too noisy at night due to taxi rank outside (and too hot to close the window). Noise persisted until after 3am. Parking was a problem

Overall: Generally a friendly hotel with friendly staff.

Good stuff: Great location. Easy to find. Breakfast staff excellent service and attentve. Full marks

Bad stuff: On check in - asked female about where breakfast would be (hoping for directions or more info) answer - on this ground floor!! She offered assistance with baggage, but didn't give good directions to my room. Told me about the lift, but it took some figuring where the room was - she was very flipant. Bathroom needs an update. Room wasn't serviced until 4.30pm - no fresh towel on second day. Minor things but made an impression.

Overall: Have already recommend to my family who live in London and frequent Bath. It was certainly adequate for three nights.
