The Mill was built originally as a flour mill and stayed as such until 1907. Keeping in character with the old mill theme, we have a water wheel for you to enjoy. The views and gardens we have available for your pleasure make staying here a real treat for all guests.

Our tasteful rooms and decor make the establishment one to behold in all its glory today. All rooms include en suite facilities. Some of the hotel rooms are in the mill itself and some, which are more recent have been placed around the back.

We also have banqueting facilities if you are planning to have a do. Just let us know before your arrival and we can make all arrangements for you in our renown restaurant.

If you are into your fishing boating or rowing this is the perfect place for you. You can get much nearer the water than right next to the river.

The owners have many years of experience in both the restaurant and hotel trade. We have now completed an extensive refurbishment with all banquet rooms bedrooms bar and restaurant and bar having a new look and feel.

Good stuff: Lovely surroundings, restaurant was reasonable and served good food.

Bad stuff: Certain of the new doors slammed shut if they weren't held as they closed, which happened quite a lot and was rather annoying wen trying to sleep.

Overall: Nice little hotel, reasonably priced and the staff very friendly. Would recommend for sure.

Bad stuff: Room was very small, bathroom was even smaller, shower hardly work, beds were old and furnishing were broken in room.

Overall: Overall the stay was nice, but I felt very let down by the state of the room, by its size in general and being very out of date compared with many other hotels I have stayed at. The bathroom was a huge disappointment with not even enough room for a normal sized person to move around in there.

Good stuff: Good location, breakfast was good and so was service.

Overall: Room furnishings and carpets generally seemed tired. Shower screen door would be preferable to shower curtain. Queen or king size bed would improve the experience.

Good stuff: Beautiful setting; excellent breakfast, efficient, friendly staff.

Good stuff: Very friendly and helpful staff. Hotel in beautiful surroundings, good position, convenient for vistiting Bath.

Bad stuff: We thought we were booking into a lovely old hotel but the room we had was more like staff quarters than guest accommodation. It was quite pokey.

Overall: Not happy about the room in an outbuilding and feel this should have been explained clearly at time of booking. 'The Lodge' gives the impression of an old building to the standard of the hotel.

Bad stuff: bed moved when we sat up to wactch television control did not work proplerly

Overall: Ideal if you are looking for a standard hotel as a base to visit Bath and surrounding area.

Good stuff: Location by river and good pub-restaurant. Was able to walk into Bath down canal saving traffic and parking chaos.

Bad stuff: Very small room but location made up for it and cheaper than other alternatives.

Overall: The room was small but the service in the bar and breakfast was excellent. Great scenery by river and local good pub on other side of toll bridge. The best bit was that for the price you get very good quiet views as if in the country but only 2 miles from the hustle of Bath.

Bad stuff: The room booked classed as superior, however ceiling was in the process of being repaired and hallway smelt of damp

Overall: We were very pleased with our stay and found it on the whole a very relaxing experience. The food was well prepared and served by attentive staff. We would certainly book again
