The Old Malt House Hotel Timsbury Radford, Timsbury Online Booking

This family run country hotel is only 15 minutes from both Bath and Wells. It is set in the beautiful Somerset countryside with a nice restaurant, lounge/bar, free parking and delightful views from all of the rooms. No 1 night stay at the weekend.

Originally this establishment was built in 1835 as a Malt House for the a local brewery. Now it is privately owned by your host and hostess. Only 6 miles from the city of Bath, the hamlet of Radford is surrounded by fabulous countryside.

As soon as you enter The Malt House you are greeted with a friendly welcome from hoteliers that will ensure your stay with us will be a relaxing and pleasant one. This hotel offers you great value for money. The rooms are very pleasant and the price that you pay is very good indeed.

There are 10 very tastefully decorated bedrooms, all with en-suite bath/shower facilities. There is colour television with tea and coffee making equipment. You will see some stunning views from the hotel across the countryside. There are also two twin rooms located on the ground floor to give better access for our guests who are not 100% mobile.

Good stuff: Lovely clean room. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was good.

Overall: Really enjoyed staying at this hotel. In a quiet peaceful location but not far from the city of Bath. Staff were friendly and helpful in directing us around the area.

Good stuff: Comfortable room and excellent breakfast & dinner, promply served and with a diverse menu

Bad stuff: Bought a satnav system prior to the visit and found it invaluable for touring the surrounding area and finding the hotel again each night

Overall: As mentioned above the use of satnav was very beneficial during our stay and I actually bought it following on from a review I had read on your web site about the hotel. Without this aid it could have been a more stressful holiday. We thoroughly enjoyed the food at the Old Malt House and over the 4 nights we had dinner we sampled 8 different main courses and could not find fault with any. Breakfast was also excellent.

Overall: Hard to find, but they provided ample directions to get to various places. The Shire horses next door were a delight to see and feed. (a little clover that was nearby)

Good stuff: The staff were lovely and helpful.

Bad stuff: The modern refurbishment of the environment.

Overall: I would havel iked to know that there is a lot of traffic on the road outside on Monday morning.
