Good stuff: It was very homely, the light bulb problem was resolved quickly (do other people not read in their room?!) Breakfast was good, and pleasant surroundings

Bad stuff: Shower was a bit tricky in controlling temperature, bed sunk a little in middle and there was a lack of a small light in bathroom to help in shaving. But these are relatively small things

Overall: Overall a nice hotel, and our package (slightly reduced compared with hotel's normal rates) was fair value for money

Good stuff: The sun terrace with access from the Executive rooms was delightful.

Bad stuff: The reception, dining room and hotel corridors were all dirty and would benefit from 'spring clean'.

Overall: An excellent location to base yourself for a shopping trip to Bath. There was ample secure parking which is important.

Good stuff: Good room and big bathroom. Friendly and approachable staff. Excellent breakfast. Good wines by the glass.

Bad stuff: The hairdryer conked out every thirty seconds and the lighting over the bathroom mirror was dim.

Overall: Attractive building. A pleasant walk into the heart of the city centre. I liked the selection of reception rooms/bars.
