Baths Georgian houses are a part of the cities splendour. We have gone out of our way to keep the character of the original building for you so you can get a real feeling of the Georgian splendour the town is known for.

With many of its original features at the Carfax, we still have all the modern facilities you would expect. All of our rooms have en-suite facilities with either a bath or shower and in most there is both of these.

The residential area in which we are situated makes for a very good nights sleep as it is very quiet relative to the city centre. Having said that we are only a few minutes walk from the city just across the River Avon. On your way in to the centre you will have the pleasure of crossing the river over the world famous Pulteney Bridge.

Many of our guests agree, you cant find a more relaxing location so close to all the attractions and shopping available here.

Good stuff: Breakfast was wonderful and served very quickly

Bad stuff: Lack of separate dining room for evening meals. Not licensed.

Overall: The hotel is very well situated close to the city centre with car parking. The hotel staff are friendly. The breakfasts are excellent but there are no bar facilities and the breakfast room is the only dining room.

Good stuff: The building was impressive and situated in close proximity to the town centre but away from busy cafes and bars.

Bad stuff: There was nothing to dislike.

Overall: The staff at the hotel were very pleasant, eficient and accomodating, allowing us to use the hotel car park two hours prior to checking in (providing that spaces were available). The hotel is a bit of a rabbit warren with lifts to all floors. The room was spotless and tastefully decorated although one of the bath towels was marked. The breakfast was adequate and well presented. If you were particularly hungry I would ask the waitress' advice on what to order for the best as the difference in size between the breakfast I ordered and the one my friend chose was quite marked. I would have no hesitation in staying at the Carfax again.

Good stuff: everything, had no problems with room,food or staff.

Bad stuff: We had no problem with parking as we went mid week, but car park only had about 8 spaces so may be a problem if hotel was full.

Overall: Hotel was in a lovely georgian street, which was very near to the main town and all the visitor attractions. Hotel was clean and tidy. Breakfast very nice, and plenty of choice they even had a choice of full fat, semi skimmed or skimmed milk.

Good stuff: Nice room, friendly reception staff.

Bad stuff: Parking and breakfast in room.

Overall: Hotel overall very good, great location, nice room although being on a main road the room was noisy if windows open and hot if shut. Breakfast in room was disappointing with lack of cutlery and poor service.

Overall: I stayed at this hol 40 years ago. It is better now than it was then
