Staying here places you in what historically was a village just outside Bath called Combe Down. It is 2.1 miles / 3.4 kilometres to the South of Bath Abbey, in the centre of the city. Walking down the hill, into town, will take you about 45 minutes and is easy. You can walk strait along Bradford Road and then up Ralph Allen Drive toward the centre. There are also some magnificent local foot paths through a number of local woods. In daylight these walks will offer you wonderful vistas over Bath as you go. However on the way back it is all uphill. So there are buses which run from and drop you just along the road outside us. They go about every 30 minutes and will take you strait to the middle of town.
Rooms here are great value as they are cheap but. very elegantly decorated for you. There might even be a swathe of lace to charm you as you enter.
