Located near to Bath Abbey a minute or two walk to the centre of the city. Originally the Abbey hotel was houses, built around 1740. We have kept the front of the building with its original majesty, This gives you a splendid feel of the old mixed the new, as we also have all modern comforts today's guests require.

Our staff are professional and will be able to help you with good local friendly advice. If you have not planned your entire stay, just ask. They will be only to happy to help you, even if it is only to get advice about the best local tea rooms.

The city centre location also means you will not have to go far to have a great night out in Bath. We are surrounded by lovely traditional and modern pubs, as well as a great selection of restaurants for you to enjoy.

In fact you could try our traditional Sunday lunch in the Number One North Parade Restaurant in the hotel itself. When you do you will see why it has won awards. Relax in its splendour and enjoy an unhurried experience from staff who know what you want in a good meal.

Good stuff: Staff and location could not be faulted.

Bad stuff: £160 for an 'adequate' twin room for one night is quite frankly expensive.And do yourself a favour, walk 100 metres for breakfast and save yourself a tenner each.

Overall: I would happily stay here again for it's location and helpful staff but it would have to be at a 'special' price.

Good stuff: Change of towels and supply of gel washing liquid on a daily Good breakfast and value for money Staff and service good. Very helpful.

Bad stuff: The bed could be done well and not just throw the cover over.

Overall: I would say it was good.

Good stuff: clean

Good stuff: It was adequately furnished, well located, clean

Bad stuff: The shower was awful , it ran scolding hot and freezing cold without any adjustment to the taps. I was not given a non smoking room and therefor could still smell a stale odour. The pillows were like two rocks and I thereofor did not slleep well.

Overall: It would be good if Best western introduced a specifically vegetarian breakfast. You must have a lot of vegetarians stating with you and it would be easy enough to provide. This hotel was ok but i had a muddled check in as ther was a confusion about whether the rom was ready hence I put my luggage in the store cupboard and brought it out again in the same 10 minutes. This was mostly becuause the receptionist did not check first whether the room was ready. WHen I did go up to the room, after a long journey I found the door wide open and someone mending the toliet seat which I was then told was going to take a while!! I was not terribly impressed.

Good stuff: Close to Bath centre

Overall: Parking facilities. There is a car park just down the road where your can leave the car over night.

Good stuff: Central location

Bad stuff: Non-responsive staff and room wasn't ready till 3PM

Overall: Staff seemed preoccupied, yet weren't busy. Rooms were extremely small, and not a good value for the money.

Bad stuff: The room was fine but a little small.
